As expected, spent Saturday in Sutton Coldfield and Sunday in Wilmslow. I can definitely say that the brakes on the bike are vastly improved resulting in much better efficiency….very nice!

Just to touch on the controversial subject of stretching paper. I recently posted a discussion on my facebook group about how to stretch paper using gummed tape. Well, I’ve had a technological breakthrough here – No longer do I use gummed tape but instead I use a staple gun. It’s much quicker and much more effective. Simply soak the paper as before and then to secure the paper to the board – use the staple gun instead of tape. This has a 100% guaranteed success rate where as before with the gummed tape – it was prone to slippage! Not good.

Went to pick up the bike from the repair shop today. Very happy with the job as the brakes now work better than ever. This is great news as it means that I shouldn’t have any more accidents on it.

Would have completed a painting today had it not been for U2 on the BBC – most distracting but very entertaining. Enjoyed the gig on top of the BBC roof very much!

Am now planning my weekend of art promotion. Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands tomorrow and then maybe same again on Sunday or possibly Wilmslow…decisions, decisions.

Today, I successfully delivered a painting to a client in Manchester. Stopped off at my local bike shop on way back to the studio because I have to get my bike fixed. The front brake cable broke during some promotional work in London at the weekend. The man laughed at me in the bike shop because of the state of the bike…I don’t care.. obviously doesn’t see the beauty of the Raleigh Hurcules! I will pick it up on Friday ready for another weekend of promotional work.

This evening I am mostly playing around with my new content management system on this site. I am also reflecting upon the two paintings that  have completed this week so far.

Tomorrow,  I travel to Manchester to make a delivery.
